Place Description (edit it)
Strelka Park is located where rivers Oka and Orlik join in Orel, Russia. There is a time capsule (wikipedia link) monument at the tip of the park. It is due to be opened in mid 21-st century. A temple is located on the site of the original fortress that gave rise to the city of Orel in 1566. It is being repaired now for a future re-opening. Archaeological evidence suggests that even earlier settlements existed on this site, as early as 12-th century, AC. Hanging Bridge connects Strelka with the Children Park on the left side of Orlik.
